Please join PACE of the Southern Piedmont in welcoming our new Medical Director, Dr. William long.  Dr. Long comes to PACE with over 30 years of medical practice in the Charlotte community and longstanding relationships with the medical community.  Dr. Long has many of years of practice experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, and long-term care health management.  On a personal note, he has a great interest and knowledge in cardiovascular health, diabetes, and preventative care.

Dr. William Long is excited about the opportunity to provide Medical Directorship at PACE of the Southern Piedmont. PACE is a Medicare not for profit, Medicaid State option program, serving participants 55 and older by providing preventive and long-term care services for those requiring nursing home level of care.  The number one goal for PACE of the Southern Piedmont is to empower our aging population with the choice to live safely in the home they love.  Dr. Long realizes that each person has differing medical needs and social situations which impact their health.  He will greatly benefit PACE participants by providing programmatic oversight and quality management which will support PACE of the Southern Piedmont to continue fulfilling its mission as well as ensure each participant receives high quality care and services.
