PACE of the Southern Piedmont Welcome Dr. Rafael Miranda
Dr. Miranda is from San Juan, Puerto Rico and has called Charlotte, NC, home for overten years. He became interested in medicine as a young boy because he loved science.
He has a strong desire to help his patients and caregivers with their medical care. Dr. Miranda finds his patient interactions very gratifying as he seeks to achieve the best clinical outcomes possible for them.
Dr. Miranda has worked within a “Team Care” approach for several years in various settings including private practice, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, and hospitalist groups. During his residency at the VA Hospital, he became interested in gerontology and caring for older adults. He values the benefits of an Interdisciplinary Team model of care for his patients, specifically when it comes to health programs and education for the patient and caregiver.
